Graduate Students Symposium in Telematics Engineering and Related Fields (CFP)

The 2025 IEEE Colombian Conference on Communications and Computing (COLCOM), in collaboration with the Doctoral Program in Telematics Engineering at Universidad del Cauca, invites Master and Ph.D. students to participate in the Graduate Student Symposium. This forum fosters collaboration, mentorship, and feedback on high-quality research in Telematics Engineering and related fields. Telematics Engineering is a multidisciplinary field that integrates the telecommunications and informatics disciplines.

The symposium allows master and doctoral students to present their progress, gain valuable insights, and connect with peers and senior researchers, in their final research stages.

This  year  will  mark the 18th edition of COLCOM,  and  the  city  of  Popayán has  been chosen to host the conference, known as Colombia's "White City". Popayán is a destination rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Its colonial streets, iconic churches, and exquisite local cuisine captivate every visitor; visiting Popayán is an opportunity to experience a place where history and beauty come together!.

Objective

The primary goal of the Graduate Students Symposium is to provide Master and Ph.D. students with a supportive environment to discuss their research ideas, receive constructive feedback from established experts in the field, and establish collaboration networks with other graduate students.

Participants will benefit from:

  • Feedback on their research from senior scientists.

  • Insights into overcoming research challenges and refining methodologies.

  • Opportunities to establish connections with peers and mentors.

The symposium proceedings will be included in the COLCOM 2025 conference proceedings (IEEE Xplore database, including ISBN), so the symposium submission will undergo the same peer review process as the IEEE COLCOM 2025 main conference.
